'Other Mommy' Trailer Unleashes a Chilling New Horror from James Wan and Rob Savage

The official trailer has been released for Other Mommy, the upcoming horror film from producer James Wan and Blumhouse Atomic Monster. Directed by Host and The Boogeyman filmmaker Rob Savage, the film adapts Josh Malerman's bestselling novel Incidents Around the House into a terrifying story of childhood fear and an evil that wears a familiar face.
Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain stars in dual roles as Bela's mother and the sinister entity known as "Other Mommy." The story follows young Bela, who forms a disturbing relationship with a mysterious presence in her home that looks exactly like her mother, blurring the line between comfort and terror.
The film also stars Jay Duplass as Bela's father, Arabella Olivia Clark as Bela, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen.
Other Mommy is directed by Rob Savage from a screenplay by Nathan Elston, based on Josh Malerman's novel. James Wan serves as producer, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Rob Savage, Josh Malerman, and Ryan Lewis serving as executive producers.
With its unsettling premise, haunting imagery, and the creative team behind modern horror hits including Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring, Host, and The Boogeyman, Other Mommy looks poised to become one of the year's most anticipated horror releases.
Other Mommy arrives exclusively in theaters on October 9.
