We've got the 10th annual Haunted Wedding shoot to finally share with everyone marking the last year of these Central Florida professional gathering for a twist on the traditional. For the past decade, florist Lee Forrest, coordinator Michele Butler, and a plethora of their nearest and dearest "friendors" have combined talents to turn a typical photoshoot on its head.
Personally, I've been involved in several of the shoots as Creative Consultant gathering participants, casting models, securing venues, and finding clothing to help round out the chosen theme of the year. By combining urban legends, horror stories, pop culture, and more this gave us a chance to stretch our creative brains a bit outside of the usual pretty pastels and traditions of everyday weddings.
For a finale year we asked, what if a wedding went awry? Approaching the Grimm Fairy Tale of Red Riding Hood and if she was forced to marry the Wolf but, at the last minute, saved.... by a huntswoman?
A gorgeous wooded area was definitely top priority and we were lucky enough to be welcomed into Casani Estates which not only gave us the perfect setting, but how bout that stone fireplace! Having the inside/outside options let us play with a few different setups getting our models out to stretch their legs a bit.
Speaking of models, Michael embodied the perfect wolf persona in his suit from The Black Tux bringing along a lot of his own personal items and jewelry to help fill out his look. Laura Reynolds lent her expertise to give everyone their own look, heightening the characters they portrayed through hair and makeup. Brenna fit perfectly in her Bridal Gallery gown so much so at the fitting, there wasn't a question of any other option. Her classic innocence contrasted so well with Amber's dark and brooding huntswoman, they all brought our idea to life.
Rich autumn floral and natural Florida foliage filled vases, urns, and our bride's basket from Lee Forrest Designs filling out the feasting table set with a sumptuous charcuterie spread from Big City Catering. Rentals from A Chair Affair added elegance to the couples' place settings accented with on-point paper products tying in the fairytale from Themes Come True. And bold signage made by Mad Oddities set the tone for our harrowing love story.
Of course a sweet treat rounds out our last chapter. Anna Cakes brought the outdoors in with a 3-tier woodland creation that would make anyone ask, is it cake?
We hope you enjoy this kiss goodbye from our group of creatives and are inspired by these resplendent photos from In Style Imagery, get lost in the world imagined through video by Elmwood Forest, and be true to the love in your life.
