Ashland Public Library Teams Up With Jeff DePaoli for The 'Haunted Happenings' Live Streams

After a successful run this past Halloween season, Ashland Public Library will

once again team up with Jeff DePaoli, host of “That Halloween Podcast,” for a series of “Haunted Happenings” livestreams. Join us for this free livestream series as DePaoli invites special guests from around the haunt and horror communities to share behind the scenes stories. The series will take place the third Thursday of each month throughout 2024, with the first happening on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. PST / 6:30 p.m. EST.

Viewers can tune in from anywhere in the world through Zoom on their personal devices. Registration is required to gain access and is free to everyone. Guests watching live will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions. If guests are unable to make it to the livestream, they’re still encouraged to register to watch the recording at their desired time. Registration is currently open where you can sign up for one or more of the scheduled live streams.“I’m so excited to share my love of Halloween and horror throughout the year,” states DePaoli. “I

had a blast with the livestream series in October 2023 and I can’t wait to share my passion with even more people throughout all of 2024.”

The first scheduled guest is Tony Gardner, founder of Alterian, Inc., a Los Angeles based studio specializing in the design and creation of animatronic and prosthetic makeup effects. Listen as they discuss many of Gardner’s projects, with an emphasis on his work for the “Chucky” television show and movie franchise. Hear how his work on the family-friendly movie “Hocus Pocus” lead to

him building and puppeteering the iconic killer doll for numerous projects.

Following Gardner will be Niki Tracchia from New Hampshire’s Haunted Overload experience in February, Chad Zingales from New Hampshire’s The Dark Woods haunt in March, and Mike Quill from Massachusetts’ Fear Town and Factory of Terror in April, with future month’s guests to be announced at later dates. Each special guest will share tales of what it takes to create their

unique haunted experiences each Halloween season.

“The Ashland Public Library is thrilled to be partnering with Jeff DePaoli to host the Haunted Happenings series,” states library director Meena Jain. “We love the ‘scare your pants off’ aspect, but more, we love bringing lovers of horror together to chat, laugh, and learn.”
