Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of 'Friday the 13th' With a Double Feature and Immersive Experience

By: Kayla Caldwell

In one week, it will be the holiest of spooky days - Friday the 13th. And what better way to celebrate it than with a 40th Anniversary Friday the 13th Screening and Immersive Experience?

Thankfully, Flicks for Fans is doing just that, offering two nights of scary good fun. Both nights feature an immersive experience with special makeup effects by Brittany Fontaine, a graduate of Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects Program. There will also be themed trivia, a photo op, fun décor, door prizes, giveaways, and - of course - horror merch for sale.

Night one - AKA Friday the 13th - is “Camp Crystal Lake Night.” There will be a double feature of Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp. The following day, March 14th, is “Ladies Night!” This double feature consists of Friday the 13th and The Final Girls. Saturday will even feature a special appearance from The Final Girls director, Todd Strauss-Schulson, writers M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, and actor Tory N. Thompson.

There will also be a special video intro by Friday the 13th director Sean S. Cunningham. Would you expect anything less for a 40th Anniversary celebration?

You’ll want to hurry and grab your tickets now - for only $27 you get access to the double feature plus admission to the immersive Friday the 13th experience.

The Flicks for Fans Friday the 13th 40Th Anniversary Screening and Immersive Experience is Friday, March 13th, and Saturday March 14th at the Fine Arts Theatre in Los Angeles.
