Calling all monster kids, brickheads, and lovers of spooky nostalgia—there’s a chillingly cool project haunting LEGO Ideas right now, and it’s a must-see for fans of classic horror!
Designed by Mason Betterly (aka SpectralBricks), this detailed LEGO set pays tribute to the original Universal Monsters—Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolfman, The Bride of Frankenstein, and more. The build recreates a sprawling Gothic castle filled with eerie locations and atmospheric touches straight out of the golden age of horror cinema. From a dungeon made for villager standoffs to a pipe organ worthy of the Phantom himself, every corner of the set is packed with nods to legendary films and timeless characters.

Betterly, who is also featured in Foolish Mortals—the upcoming Creepy Kingdom Studios documentary about Haunted Mansion fandom coming to streaming platforms in 2025—has crafted this set as both a tribute and a celebration of the monsters that started it all.
And now, it needs your help to become an official LEGO set.

👻 What’s Inside the Monster Castle?
Grand Foyer: Complete with a glowing chandelier and secret passageway
Secret Lab: Removable platform lets your monster rise into rooftop lightning
Music Room: Featuring a grand pipe organ, perfect for shadowy serenades
Bell Tower: Because every good monster castle needs a brooding belfry
Catacombs: Where creatures creep and coffins rest
Dungeon: Great for stashing pitchfork-wielding villagers or plotting a daring escape
The proposed set clocks in at approximately 2,250 bricks and comes with suggested minifigures of Count Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolfman, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, and The Phantom of the Opera.
With Universal’s Dark Universe land opening soon at Epic Universe and a cultural revival of classic monsters across streaming, merchandise, and collectibles, this LEGO creation arrives at the perfect time. It’s not just a toy—it’s a monument to 100 years of monster movie magic.

Whether you’re a LEGO collector, horror historian, or Universal Monsters fanatic, this is your chance to help make horror history brick by brick. Support the project, share it far and wide, and stay tuned for more monster madness from Creepy Kingdom!
