Creep It Real OC Expo Coming to Santa Ana, CA September 12th

Orange County Haunt Culture will be the focus of “Creep It Real OC” EXPO as local Entertainment Production Company Valantine Productions hosts the event’s return in an even bigger and better way. On display will be local artisans and craftspeople selling their latest designs as well as professional attractions and home haunt teams promoting upcoming offerings. There will be music, food trucks, photo opportunities, and a naturally spooky atmosphere provided by the expo’s new host venue, The Heritage Museum of Orange County.

The 2021 “Creep It Real OC” EXPO will take place on Sunday, September 12, from 12pm - 6pm. Exhibiting this year will be a variety of vendors selling Halloween-themed crafts, jewelry, fashion items, masks, props, collectibles, and original artwork. There will also be a sampling of local home haunted houses and mazes so visitors can get a little pre-season scare and map out their haunt-hopping plans all over Orange County and other parts of Southern California.

“There could not be a better venue for this event,” Megan Valantine, Co-Producer said of The Heritage Museum of Orange County. “Last year, we brought folks from Riverside, San Diego and LA Counties to the OC. Our new venue is pin-dropped right in the center of everyone. Of course, primary for us is the fact that the atmosphere here is the stuff Halloween dreams are made of. Those coming in costume for photo ops will fit right in and our home haunt exhibitors are going to go wild putting up their set pieces in this great space.”

Improvements from the event’s inaugural year are a reduced admission price, longer hours and a creepier atmosphere. “Our goal is to create and share an environment where local artists, vendors, DIYers and haunt passionates will join together as the season ramps up to further ignite the excitement of the spookiest time of the year” Co-Producer Kevin Valantine says. “Additionally, we may be one of the first events of its kind to take place, post-pandemic.” The venue, popular with weddings, school tours and other gatherings is closely monitoring the state and local guidelines and health official recommendations. Event organizers will be communicating via social media and the event’s website with a “know before you go” update containing the latest advisories and announcing the precautions that will be taken by venue staff. “We feel very confident”, said Kevin “that with these partnerships in place, we will have the knowledge and tools available to execute a safe and healthy event come September.”
