Tickets to see 'TRON: Ares' in-theaters go on sale today, giving audiences the exciting opportunity to return to the Grid and witness the highly anticipated next chapter of Disney’s seminal 'TRON' film series on the big screen. The electrifying action-adventure opens wide in U.S. theaters beginning Friday, October 10, 2025.
Audiences can be the first to experience 'TRON: Ares' by attending the Early Access Screenings exclusively in 3D and premium formats beginning Wednesday, October 8 ahead of the official opening. Fans will also have the chance to see 'TRON: Legacy' and 'TRON: Ares' in IMAX 3D as part of the 'TRON' IMAX Double Feature, and a 'TRON' Triple Feature with all three 'TRON' films will have an exclusive engagement at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
'TRON: Ares' follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. The feature film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro and Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges.
Sean Bailey, Jared Leto, p.g.a., Emma Ludbrook, p.g.a., Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, p.g.a., and Steven Lisberger are the producers, with Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Russell Allen, and Joseph Kosinski serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Jesse Wigutow, with story by David DiGilio and Wigutow, based on characters created by Steven Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird.
