Paradise turns to pure terror in Primate, the newest horror film from Paramount Pictures, in association with Domain Entertainment and 18Hz Productions. Written by Johannes Roberts and Ernest Riera, the film transforms a tropical getaway into a nightmare of primal fear and survival.
A group of friends set out for a dream vacation in a lush island paradise, but their escape quickly becomes a fight for their lives when they encounter something ancient, ruthless, and beyond human. What begins as a carefree trip soon spirals into a horrifying struggle against nature and the darkness within themselves.
The film is directed by Johannes Roberts, known for 47 Meters Down and The Strangers: Prey at Night, continuing his signature blend of claustrophobic tension and relentless suspense.
The cast features Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, Troy Kotsur, Victoria Wyant, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann, and Tienne Simon.
Primate is produced by Walter Hamada, John Hodges, and Bradley Pilz, with executive producers Vicki Dee Rock, Nathan Samdahl, Johannes Roberts, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, and Andrew Lary.
With its isolated setting and intense psychological edge, Primate promises to deliver a brutal, survival-driven horror experience that pushes its characters to the breaking point.
