It’s a new week, which means a new episode of MOTHERLAND: FORT SALEM. In “My Witches,” the girls are learning to work together as a unit, despite their differences - especially Abigail and Raelle. They’re burying the hatchet, and trying to learn from their mistakes. Once they stop working against each other, and use their individual abilities as a team, they finally realize how powerful a unit they can be. This leads to them winning the Windstrike training, impressing Anacostia (Demetria McKinney), and permission to leave base and go to the annual witch celebration.
Tally’s bubbly and enthusiastic personality withers away with all the turmoil happening at Fort Salem. Between her Mom’s discouragement, and coming face-to-face with people who hate witches, she begins to wonder if a military career was the right decision. They don’t understand or appreciate what they’re doing for mankind. They say, “The people they’re sworn to protect don’t trust them,” and that is a hard pill to swallow. Meanwhile, Raelle and Scylla (Amalia Holm) grow closer, which we discover isn’t a good thing.
I’m loving that the girls are finally learning to get along, and I can’t wait to see what they can do with their powers. My prediction is that they end up being the most powerful unit on base, and end up saving everyone. The last few moments of “My Witches” were really intense, and left me aching to know more!
Stay tuned for more reviews each week. MOTHERLAND: FORT SALEM drops every Wednesday night on FREEFORM. The next episode is called, “A Biddy’s Life.” Any predictions?
