Special Engagements at Cinelounge Drive-In for 'No Man's Land' and 'Psycho Goreman'


Responding to the realities of the pandemic, Cinelounge has re-opened as an outdoor venue, a drive-in theatre in a lot adjacent to its original location, 1625 N. Las Palmas Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028. Health and safety protocols will be strictly observed. Cinelounge’s famous ten luscious flavors of scrumptious gourmet popcorn will be available in sealed packaging. Here are the features announced for the week of January 22:

NO MAN'S LAND Action/Adventure. Directed by Conor Allyn. Written by Jake Allyn and David Barraza. Produced by Conor Allyn, Jake Allyn, Rob Allyn, Joel Shapiro. From IFC Films.

(Color, 2021, Mexico, 115 minutes, rated PG-13) Starring Jake Allyn, Frank Grillo, Andie MacDowell, George Lopez, Alex MacNicoll, Esmeralda Pimentel. A modern Western inspired by the real-life "no man's land" areas along the Texas-Mexico border. While out on a father-son border patrol, Jackson accidentally kills a Mexican immigrant boy. When Jackson's father tries taking the blame, Jackson flees south on horseback, becoming a gringo "illegal alien" in Mexico. Chased by Texas Rangers and Mexican federales, Jackson journeys across Mexico to seek forgiveness from the dead boy's father only to fall in love with the land he was taught to hate.

(Color, 2021, Canada, 99 minutes, not rated) Starring Matthew Ninaber, Kristen MacCulloch, Rick Amsbury, Adam Brooks, Owen Myre, Nita-Josee Hanna. Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord. Using a magical amulet, they force the monster to obey their childish whims, and accidentally attract a rogues' gallery of intergalactic assassins to small-town suburbia.
